A Theoretical Study of the Flow in Impellers of Mixed and Radial Flow Compressors and Discussion of Methods for Design Improvements

Abstract
This paper presents an exhaustive and also a simplified method for deriving the parameters
necessary for the design and development of compressors for jet engines, turbochargers, and
automotive gas turbines. Much of the theory and experimental data have been extracted from
existing reports of studies and investigations, but a considerable amount of practical design
work and experimental evidence is offered to confirm theoretical applications.
