Abstract
Nickel isodecylorthophosphate is a unique and effective multifunctional gasoline additive which has been shown to be a combustion chamber deposit modifier, a surfactant, and also improves engine life. This compound reduces abnormal deposit-induced ignition phenomena, equilibrium octane requirements, and engine wear; prolongs exhaust valve life; functions as an effective carburetor deicer and rust inhibitor; and modifies combustion chamber deposits without adding to the total amount of deposit accumulation.
