Abstract
The purpose of this discussion is to consider the function of quality control as it is related to the broad subject of product assurance. In the writer's opinion, the best way to look at the problem is through a systems engineering approach that concentrates on the realization of effective products. The subject that is covered herein deals specifically with the manufacturing-quality control relationship of assuring conformance of product with design requirements, the second phase of the systems engineering approach.
