Abstract
The paper analyzes some of the main reasons for the fundamental differences, particularly in relation to size, among typical best selling cars in America and Europe. Economic conditions as well as other relevant factors are briefly discussed. Various models are illustrated, including the Rover 2000. One of the main features of this latter car examined in some detail is the system of applying painted and finished skin panel units by bolting to a base unit capable of carrying all required loads.
