Abstract
The development and test program of an inflatable flexible-wing precision delivery glider logistic support system is presented. System description, fabrication, operation and test data, such as performance and operational envelope, are presented for a series of inflatable gliders.
Unique characteristics of high-density packaging, inherent flight stability, high glide ratio, all-weather capability, automatic homing or remote guidance, establishes the glider as a logistic support system with a nonstop multiple address offset cargo delivery capability. Simulated operational missions which were conducted in Southeast Asia with inflatable flexible-wing gliders are discussed.
