Abstract
A turbocharged and aftercooled truck engine, Caterpillar Co's 1673, is described. Illustrations are presented showing the construction of the engine, and design problems are discussed. Because these units are used in a variety of operating conditions and markets, over-the-highway job requirements could be studied with relatively few units; such requirements and the resultant solutions are discussed.
