Abstract
Recent French experience with V/STOL aircraft is reviewed. Some of the problems raised by the flying qualities of this kind of airplane are examined, discussed, and compared with the AGARD provisional requirement. From the experience gained during the flight tests, the adequacy of some of these requirements is analyzed. Both STOL Bréguet 941 aircraft and VTOL Dassault “Balzac” jet are discussed.
