Abstract
Previous seat checking devices are described. The work of the Manikin Subcommittee is outlined and the SAE Standard (J826) on Manikins is included. The standard has a description of the two dimensional manikin and the three dimensional manikin, their specifications and their use. The advantages of the new manikins are given along with a brief description of the dimensioning system of which they are a part.
