Factors affecting the choice of automotive primers including dipping, spraying, and welding, and nondrying and flash primers are discussed. Types of corrosion are also covered. The importance of maintaining specified baking schedules and using a quality product and proper film thickness is emphasized to assure corrosion resistance.
