Abstract
A crankcase ventilating system which draws fresh air into the crankcase thru a conventional breather is discussed in this paper. The fresh air mixes with the blowby gases and the combined total flow is drawn thru the unique crankcase ventilator valve mounted in the intake manifold.
The selfcleaning valve is designed to permit a total flow which parallels the blowby of the engine. Thus it follows that as the blowby increases, the volume of fresh air decreases to keep the total flow constant.
