Abstract
The general objectives of model studies of automobile aerodynamics are established. The general similarity laws are summarized. The validity of aerodynamic model studies is established. The model parameters are examined and limits are established (model mounting, internal flow, full scale correlation, pressure distribution).
The model testing technique used by General Motors Styling Staff as well as evaluation and interpretation of data are reviewed and some typical data are presented.
