Abstract: Future of Mobility is mainly driven by 3 main pillar viz Connected , Electrified and Automated Driving. With advancement in Communication Technology supplemented by huge customer Base , Connectivity has proven to deliver better Services to the End-user. The next step in this journey would be to connect the so called “Things” and the Things that we want to connect is the 2 wheeler in the Mobility domain This paradigm shift in the Mobility Landscape is expected to bring plethora of opportunities on one side as well as new challenges that were never witnessed in the realm of Mobility in the Past. This paper focuses on Opportunities in terms of Location Based services, Vehicle Management, Data Analytics, Infotainment , and possible Business scenarios and Models as well as challenges in Terms of Security and Data Ownership Methodology: Analysis of OEM and Supplier strategies/approaches and upcoming trends in connectivity and electrification. Results: We try to make an attempt to understand the Mobility trends in 2wheeler and how Connectivity shall play a pivotal role in enabling various Business models and Technical solutions. We shall also present the challenges that Connectivity in 2wheeler is about to bring and the kind of Technical solutions we would like to propose to overcome these challenges. We also want to evaluate technical feasibility and viability of business models with the expected innovations and disruptions that might shape the future. Limitations of this study: Secondary source of data will be used for deriving results which might differ in different segments based on factors like geography, population density, infrastructure availability and hence cannot be generalized. Technical feasibility will be evaluated with PoC and not as a final product which can be offered. What does the paper offer that is new in the field in comparison to other works of the author. The paper focuses on the evolution of 2Wheeler segment which has increased as a potential market for technical innovations and the kind of evolution that the 2 wheeler Market is going to witness enabled by Connectivity based solutions . Conclusion: With the market potential increasing rapidly, the focus in this segment adds to being more agile to adapt to emerging trends. The analysis will help in understanding consumer behaviour and Business Models with this emerging trends and align them to derive future strategies in the 2Wheeler segment.
