Abstract
Many kinds of drive systems can be adopted by a pure electric vehicle. In order to select the most suitable drive system, the configuration features of different drive systems were analyzed. After matching the drive systems in a pure electric vehicle, the dynamic performance comparison has been carried out; and on the basis of establishing the vehicle energy consumption model and taking the city driving cycle as an example, the economic comparison of these drive systems has been completed. The research results show that, the single-motor direct drive system has the most simple structure but the worst performance; after a two gear transmission has been added, the dynamic performance is significantly improved and the driving range is increased by 3.6%, but the automatic transmission function is difficult to be solved; the vehicle dynamics performance can be improved by adopting the in-wheel motor drive systems, but the actual driving efficiency is not high; the high driving efficiency can be achieved by the main and vice motors coupling drive system, which driving range is increased by 7.79% than a single-motor direct drive system and is suitable for an electric vehicle with simple structural but high efficiency requirements.
