Numerical Analysis on Particle Formation Process in Diesel Combustion

Abstract
Particle formation and oxidation process in diesel combustion are investigated in the point of view of instantaneous and spatial characteristics with KIVA-4 which accounts for finite-rate elementary chemical reactions coupled with phenomenological multiple steps soot model. Particle formation and oxidation process derived from CFD simulation is compared with observation result with laser techniques firstly, then, influences on the process in different fuel injection conditions are analyzed.
