Abstract
This paper presents computational results comparing conventional
internal combustion engine (ICE) and the adjusting pistons internal
combustion engine (APICE) that is being developed by PCA Soluçðes
Ltd., which opposed pistons configuration work to improve the
engine efficiency and to reduce engine-out gases.
The computational analyses were performed using Mathcad
software, applying well-known formulae of internal combustion
engine and Newton's Law of cooling.
