Abstract
This paper describes the research to obtain the simulation of the electric power system of a vehicle, with a focus on lead-acid battery, because it is a component difficult to model.
The knowledge of the behavior of the electric power system of a vehicle requires an expensive procedure both in time and resources, while a computer simulation this behavior can be evaluated quickly.
It was studied several models for lead-acid battery, in order to know the most used and, finally, get the simpler and more accurate. To validate the model were carried out several laboratory tests and a test performed on a vehicle.
