A Study on Prediction of Driver Reaction Time From Vehicle Behavior
Published October 12, 2011 by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan in Japan
The relationship between driver's gas-pedal reaction time and the vehicle behavior was statistically investigated by analyzing a driving behavior database collected in a real world. As a result, it was revealed that the possibility the probabilistic distribution of driver reaction time of a vehicle can be predicted from a log power spectrum of temporal differentiation of lateral displacement of the vehicle as well as a log power spectrum of the steering angle.
