Abstract
The Coriolis Vibrating Gyros technologies are now reaching a good level of maturity for a wide range of applications including the most demanding aerospace ones. Those applications include stabilization, flight control, standby horizon instruments, Attitude and Heading Reference Systems and Inertial Reference Systems. From MEMS to Hemispherical Resonant Gyros, the paper shows how these technologies can demonstrate a good set of properties, well suited for each kind of aeronautical applications. Several examples are presented chosen among Salem's own experience of Coriolis Vibrating Gyros:
- The Quapason™ [1] for Stabilization, Flight control, Standby instrument and AHRS applications,
- The HRG [2] for IRS applications.
For each sensor, the most recent results are presented.
