Abstract
Focus of today's product development in the area of
combustion engines is besides the cost reduction also the
introduction of friction reduction and lightweight solutions.
Through innovative design and use of new materials, future
functional and lightweight components can be successfully realized.
Intelligent solutions in the field of coatings and the local
integration of needle bearings can reduce engine losses on new
generation of combustion engines drastically.
This work aims to present new and innovative solutions that can
be successfully implemented in the valve train/cylinder head system
of modern internal combustion engines.
