Abstract
The regulation for particle number for type approval is decided
to be introduced in Euro 5b. Therefore, the particle number
counting systems (PNCS) are available in the market from several
instrument companies. All of PNCS in the market are suitable for
Reg. 83 annex 4a, but these instruments have some structural
differences, such as dilution method, setting of temperature.
Detailed parts of calibration procedures are also different in each
instrument company. Therefore, it is important to investigate the
influence of the difference of the calibration methods and the
procedures on the measurement results of PCRF.
In this presentation, we will show the influence of difference
of calibration procedure, such as thermal treatment, particle
species and so on.
