Abstract
Introduction of stringent NOx emission legislation raises a challenging problem of low temperature NOx conversion. Catalytic honeycomb substrates (NCH) mainly comprised of Fe/zeolite and coated type catalytic substrate (conventional struct) were prepared. Through experiments of the relationship between NH3 adsorption and NOx conversion, it is revealed that NCH expands urea injection controllability without any NH3 slip due to its higher NH3 adsorptive capability compared with conventional struct. Moreover NCH exhibits approximately 1.6 times higher NOx conversion performance than conventional struct when NH3 slip margin was set for 40% at catalyst temperature of 165°C.
