Abstract
The demand for greater quality on the surface of components has created a need of better techniques for surface distortion measurement. Recently, there are considerable research activities in the development of optical methods for surface distortion inspection. Severe different optical inspection methods have been used for body surface inspection. The main objective of this paper is to give a review of optical methods in this area. The fundamental and working principle will be demonstrated by example of surface distortion measurement on parts of a car body.
