Abstract
Cr containing PM steels aid optimization of cost-performance for power transmission components in hydrostatic transmissions. Components such as final drive gears and differential gear sets are typical manufactured from sintered materials containing high levels of alloying elements such as Cu, Ni and Mo. Utilisation of Cr-Mo PM materials presents materials with improved cost - performance ratio via improved materials properties combined with improved dimensional tolerances.
