Abstract
The basic variables and calculations of lining wear are discussed along with the observed data on the vehicle. The sensitiveness of the Cam brake with respect to the dependent variables is discussed. Using hand calculation Technique the proposed wear adjuster Mechanism design feasibility is discussed. The actuation of the Ratchet and Pawl Mechanism to take care of the Wear is explained. The cost comparison and weight impact along with the Tangible and intangible benefit to the final customer is also discussed. The future aspects of protoassembly and Testing are also discussed.
