Abstract
The external flow field of a fuel cell electric vehicle and the cooling system optimization design was studied. Based on the method of coupling calculation, the automobile external flow field and the internal flow field were calculated with the Navier-Stokes equation, and with the application of the CFD software Fluent, the external flow field of the fuel cell electric vehicle and its basic vehicle were studied. According to the studies, with the method of orthogonal design, the cooling performance of the fuel cell engine cooling system was evaluated and refined. In the orthogonal design, four factors with three levels were considered. At last, the validation simulation was made, which showed that the aerodynamical performance, the characteristics of velocity field and pressure field were improved, and the heat flux of the radiator increased greatly.
