Abstract
The dynamic characteristics of the hydraulic power steering system(HPSS) are simulated and discussed with SIMULINK software and hydraulic control theory. The characterristic of software SIMULINK is introduced and the dynamical model of valve-controlled hydraulic cylinder is constructed. The dynamic simulation can be made by establishing the dynamic model and the simulation model of HPSS, initializing the parameters of the system, and implementing the dynamic simulation. Lastly, the key factors affecting the dynamic characteristics of HPSS are discussed. The simulation result can provide theoretical basis for designing HPSS and the SIMULINK method is an effective way to simulate the dynamical characteristics of HPSS.
