Abstract
With the increasing development of computer and CAE technology, it is possible to establish a highly analytical tire model for vehicle dynamics simulation. In this paper, the Modal Parameters Tire Model (MPTM) is presented, which can describe tire high velocity and high frequency properties. Based on the vertical rolling model, a series of simulation results are compared with experimental data. The comparison between the calculated results and the measured data shows quite good accuracy in both the time and frequency domains. The cornering model based on the rolling model can give good results.
