Abstract
This paper describes a methodology called Collective System Design™ (CSD) for the design of sustainable organizations that are lean. CSD integrates three elements: a language for system design that is based on axiomatic design [Suh, 2001], collective agreement within learning organizations [Senge, 2006; Isaacs, 1999 and Schein, 1999] and CSD's Diagnosis to Design Process™ to understand the system design that we don't see and the design that we do see and want to see [Cochran, 2006].
