A Full-Vehicle Simulation for Riding Comfort Performance on a Square-Shaped Road Profile

This paper introduces the development of a full-vehicle simulation method for riding comfort on a square-shaped road profile. In order to be more useful in practical CAE scene, a simplified physical model of the hydraulic engine mount and an identified longitudinal impact force of the tire are both applied. The hydraulic mount's nonlinearity was derived from parameter identification in frequency domain and the impact force of the tire was derived from a preliminary vehicle test. The analytical result shows good accuracy in both vertical longitudinal transient behavior of the vehicle.
