Abstract
EaglePicher's state-of-the-art MSD portable and bench top test systems can service any secondary (rechargeable) battery chemistry with nominal battery voltages from 1 to 36 volts and charge/discharge currents ranging from 0.02 to 25/50 amperes for the portable system and 0.02 to 70 amperes for the bench top system. All MSD systems can store up to 80 battery test profiles. Test data is serially streamed to a PC for archiving and analysis. System battery test and maintenance profiles can be modified through a PC interface. Profile manipulation allows the MSD user to create an infinite number of battery test profile variations.
PC profile generation allows the MSD user to input battery service termination criteria offering unmatched flexibility and provides cost effective upgrades. Termination criteria include end-of-charge voltages, currents, delta temperatures and negative voltage slopes, and time. The easy-to-use MSD battery test system provide user feedback and control through Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), keypad and personal computer (PC) interfaces and are designed to provide years of reliable service. All MSD test systems offer flexibility and programmability that will ensure cost effective solutions to high-end battery servicing and testing applications.
