Abstract
The exhaust system consists of more than one center resonator and main resonator. Its function is to reduce the tail pipe noise of the exhaust system. The aim of this work is cost and weight reduction by eliminating center resonator that is basically included in design of the exhaust system using the Robust Design. This paper shows the procedure of optimum design of the exhaust system for Cost/Weight/NVH aspects with the Robust Design.
