Abstract
Various control systems for enhancing vehicle dynamics have been proposed. Tire characteristics determine the performance of vehicle dynamics. However, conventional DYC (Direct Yaw-moment Control) does not consider real-time tire force distribution. Recently, research on measuring forces between road surface and tires in real time is actively conducted. In this research, DYC for improving vehicle dynamics and tire force distribution controller which optimizes tire force usage by using the information of tire forces acting between road surface and tires are combined. Simulation studies were carried out and the effectiveness of the proposed controller was confirmed.
