In December 2004, Nissan put into production a new steel-belt CVT intended mainly for use on 2.02.5 L front-wheel-drive vehicles, This CVT was developed as a new model to succeed the previous Hyper-CVT and has been adopted initially on the minivan "LAFESTA." This paper describes the technical features of the new CVT.
