Abstract
The objective of this paper is to introduce the Objective Force Cost Module (OFCM), briefly explain its functionality and describe how it will benefit the concept development effort. The OFCM is a software tool being developed by PRICE Systems which will be integrated into the Advanced Collaborative Environment (ACE) vehicle development framework. Once accomplished, this integration will provide vehicle concept designers the ability to generate cost estimates and perform cost analyses/tradeoffs of emerging designs in the same timeframe in which their Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools are used to design systems. A cost model for the Army's Unit of Action Future Tactical Truck Systems (FTTS) is being developed for the purpose of a pilot program.
