Development of the Fuel System for a Jerk-Type, In-Line DME Injection System

The purpose of this work is to investigate the feasibility of the fuel system, especially the leak fuel recirculation system and the purge system required for a jerk-type, in-line DME injection system. By the experimental investigations, the following results have been shown.
(1) Performance of the re-liquefaction compressor for leak fuel recirculation is enough except when the injection pump speed decreases less than 400 rpm.
(2) It takes 25 seconds to purge 95% of residual DME in the injection system with the aspirator and the purge tank after injection stops.
