Abstract
Now a day, every manufacturer is using electronic and electrical subsystems, to optimize performance and add value to their products. Operation and safety of vehicle is hence highly dependant on consistent functionality of these electronic and electrical subsystems. Also most of the new standards for subsystems and garage equipments specify EMC tests. This has become a critical criteria for meeting the requirement.
ARAI has recently developed a test facility, which is suitable for EMC testing of battery operated electronic and electrical subsystems as well as mains operate garage equipment. This paper describes scope and application of this facility to the automotive industry
