The Influence of the Brazing Parameters on the Quality of the Heat Exchanger Made By the CuprobrazeSr Process

Copper alloys for use in heat exchanger applications where high temperature joining is employed exhibit properties that in several cases are superior to materials for soft soldering and needed for high temperature joining like brazing. During the brazing process the materials in the cores will be relatively long time at high temperature. Investigations have been done to study the sensitivity of the different materials for parameter variations in the brazing process. The CuproBraze® process is now in production in a number of companies. This paper focuses on what can influence the quality of cores produced in this process.
