The "Cab-Lounge" Concept Integrated Systems for Long-Distance Truck Cabin Thermal Management
Published May 18, 2003 by Institution of Mechanical Engineers in United Kingdom
An Advanced Climate System has been developed in order to increase in Long Distance Truck cabin Thermal Comfort. Starting from the basic idea to offer a personalized high comfort microclimate for the different cabin zones, having a ""soft"" impact on the cabin driver, CRF has developed a series of specific subsystems that provide additional functions to the traditional HVAC, such as Heating and Cooling at ICE off. An innovative integrated Electronic Control based on the perceived comfort, manages the entire Climate system.
