Abstract
This paper deals with the effect of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Ordinary Diesel (OD) water mixtures as fuel emulsions on exhaust emissions of diesel engine. A single cylinder Direct Injection diesel engine was used and operated at 2200 and 2600 rpm for emissions measurement. The results of this experiment showed that, emission was slightly decreased when engine fueled by CPO/OD water emulsions compare to CPO or OD fuels. This research is interested in extremely lower emission of NOx to comply with stringent air quality regulations in Malaysia and EURO Standard.
