Abstract
This paper represents an attempt of introducing SEA approach in Elasis for the vibroacoustic design analyses. A dedicated experimental database was built for assessing numerical results and, in general, for becoming more confident of SEA capabilities. It is well known the importance of the estimation of the loss factor parameters in modeling SEA subsystems. Loss factor tests for single car components have been developed in assembled and disassembled configurations. In this paper, the executive test definition and the carried out car experimental measurements will be deeply shown and discussed. These experimental data have been used for tuning the associated SEA models and for drawing guidelines for predictive tools with reference also to uncertain structural parameters.
