Abstract
The conventional standard (JASO M348-95) was prescribing the only transmission torque capacity in the early cycle of endurance. In recent years, automatic transmissions are requested to have a long life of performance. We changed reference transmission fluid and test pieces that become the standard. Therefore, the prescription of the transmission torque capacity and performance including the change over the whole endurance cycle become enabled. Round-robin test was stabilized results and it was repeated. We did the revision of the standard (JASO M348-2002) on the basis of the results.
