Abstract
This paper presents an efficient methodology for the development and manufacturing of production resources for the trimming and shaping of sheet-metals, also known as trim, fold, forming, and flanging dies, among others.
This methodology is synthesized in the standardization and structuring concept of the items that make up the stamping tool set.
By means of computing resources, such as CAD systems, and the adoption of this method, it is possible to generate solid tridimensional models, even from a complex set of tools for stamping. This information will be essential to reduce time and cost at the tool design and manufacturing stages.
