Abstract
A spreadsheet-based calculation method has been developed to calculate Carbon Dioxide (CO2) partial pressures. This model can be used for verification, quick studies, and near real time analysis. The model can be run, with minimal instruction, in the Mission Evaluation Room (MER). The model performs a mass balance on CO2. The model includes the effects of crew metabolism, CO2 removal by either the U.S. Carbon Dioxide Removal Assembly (CDRA) and/or the Russian carbon dioxide removal device (Vozdukh), and the effects of Metal Oxide (Metox) regeneration.
