Development of seat evaluation method using FEM~Dynamic finite element analysis of seat adjuster

To reduce a design term and costs of seat adjuster developments, the virtual product evaluation system has been required. Especially, it is important to develop appropriate techniques for each evaluation item. This paper reports two examples using nonlinear dynamic finite element analysis of structures. One is simple assembly model with a few parts but modeled in detail, another is full assembly seat frame model. They were shown good predictive accuracy by modelling material failure value and gear structural characteristic.
