Abstract
1
A simulation tool has been developed to predict pressure characteristics and performances of the brake system. This simulation tool includes model libraries of brake components which are described using the MATLAB®/SIMULINK™. Engineers can visually and easily make simulation models using these model libraries since programming is not necessary. Vehicle dynamics model is also included in the model libraries to simulate vehicle behavior due to the brake system. Characteristics and performances of the brake system can be evaluated whether vehicle requirements are satisfied or not as a whole vehicle. We have extremely reduced the development period for the brake system since the development efficiency is increased using this simulation tool.
