New Renault powertrain driveability customer approach
Published September 07, 2000 by AVL List GmbH in Australia
On the new Renault's Powertrain Division Organization, the Powertrain Driveability Department is intended to improve Powertrain Driveability performances from the advance project phase to the SOP of each Project. This approach is based on Driveability Powertrain quantified requirements which are obtained from prospective customer's wishes.
In order to reach the target on each project phase the ""Customer Requirements Project Leader"" must accompany the project along his life. Advanced Powertrain and chassis modeling as well as on-board computer tools are used to quantify and correct driveability criteria in a continuous feedback between the Powertrain Projects and the Customer Requirements Projects Leaders.
The guiding line of this feedback process is the document: ""Customer's Powertrain Driveability Requirements,"" which is contracted at the beginning of the project.
