A new-type 1.8-liter engine for CNG fuel is a new generation engine combining ""ultra low emission level"", ""high fuel economy by lean-burn"" and ""high engine output"". These are made possible by utilizing low-carbon dioxide volume and high octane number which are the merits of CNG fuel, using the newly developed electrical control multi-point fuel injection system, the improvement of the catalysts and intake gas flow and the optimized compression ratio. Especially, about 23% of carbon dioxide emissions were reduced from the level of the base gasoline engine.
