Abstract
This paper is focused on the objective to demonstrate the benefits of thermocoupling technology in improving internal combustion engine efficiency by assembling an electrically powered compressor and a thermoelectric cooler. From the applications development of the Second Principle it appears that the system''s potentiality to produce work does not only depend on the supplied energy but also on the temperature and pressure. The objective is to raise the density of the incoming charge, so that more fuel and air can be delivered to the cylinder to increase the power (or to drop the consummation by improving efficiency). An elementary analysis shows that almost 70% of heat is wasted in a conventional internal combustion engine. The purpose of reutilizing this energy via Seebeck modules is to be able to assemble this electric system (electrically powered compressor and thermoelectric coolers) that will make easier the charging of fresh air to the combustion chambers in order to maintain an effective average pressure on the inlet manifold.
