Shorter development times in the automotive industry demands for new methods of software development. Autocode generation is a means to simplify the process of software development and decrease the necessary time. At DaimlerChrysler autocode generation was utilized successfully for the software of a hybridized commercial vehicle. A decrease of development time, excellent connection to simulation and a better handling of complex controller structures are the results.
