Abstract
For upper interior trim in a vehicle, the structures to minimize the head injury which is occurred by the first or second impact in crash or roll-over of the vehicles are required. In order to meet the requirements of the customer and various regulations for the safety of vehicles, the computer simulation and experimental tests have been made the roof side rail of upper interior component. This paper is mainly concerned with the technical characteristics of the geometrical structures of the sheet panels that are currently used to protect the head injury.
